1 in 100 babies born have a heart defect.
It's the number one birth defect. Life with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) does not exist without intervention, most often open heart surgery within the first few months of life. These Heart Babies are so strong, and we draw so much inspiration from their families that don’t let circumstances dictate what they get out of life.
Heartstrong exists to raise necessary funds for heart defect research and Heart Family support. Every time you do something positive for yourself, think of others that need your help and donate. The money that this 501(c)(3) foundation raises will be directed to Johns Hopkins Hospital and Mended Little Hearts of Greater Baltimore and researchers. There is no known cause for this number one birth defect, but these groups are working to make a difference.
